Trip Report: Vermont (Again)

Had a free weekend so we decided to throw the kayaks up on the roof and hit the road to get away. We were worried about the weather so we ended up hitting up a campsite with a lean-to (gotta keep the missus happy!)

Loaded a pair of single kayaks up on the Gobi without any problem at all. It was super easy to do by myself by literally just sliding it forward from the back. Then you just need to tie ‘em to the crossbar and side bar, throw down the bow and stern lines and you’re good! Drove a couple of hundred miles on the highway like this and I didn’t see them move an inch. And the best part was it didn’t impede the use of any of our lights as we head toward camp!

Although short, it was nice to be able to get away for the weekend, sleep in the brisk Vermont air, enjoy some time on the lake, and have one hell of a view while drinking a few local brews.
