Trip Report: March AOAA Run

Back to AOAA! We saw some warm-ish weather on the radar and knew that we had to hit the trails. I loaded up the 4Runner with some tools, recovery gear, and a cooler full of beer and snacks, and got on the road. I met up with my buddy with that nasty Jeep Grand Cherokee WK, and we aired down for the trails.

Seeing as we were wheeling March and it was still cold out, I thought for sure we would see a bunch of other full-size rigs at AOAA and virtually zero dirt bikes/ATVs. Boy we were wrong. When we got to the trailhead, there was a sea of tow-rigs, dozens of dual sports and ATVs, and maybe 5-6 other full-size rigs ready for the trail. This was gonna be great.

With all of the snow and ice melting, the normally large puddles were definitely looking a bit XL, but we weren’t going to let that stop us. We weaved our way through a ton of the windy green and blue trails, slammed through some mud puddles, and of course, fixed a few mechanical problems with that damn Jeep WK. All in all, it was a great day for a trail run, and I am definitely looking forward to some more winter wheeling in the future.

And here is a bonus clip of that Jeep WK doing a high-speed run down the fire road. At this point, we are just waiting for the thing to fall apart, but in the meantime, we might as well have some fun, right?
